"Where am I?" I muttered to myself, looking at my surroundings. I had gone to sleep in my bed but had just woken up to a completely different environment. I was still in a bed, but it was a lot bigger and a lot more comfy than the one at my house, and the room was lit by candles and a roaring fireplace which filled the room with warmth. The room itself was a beautiful gothic style, the kind you'd imagin castles to have. Suddenly, a voice interrupted my thoughts.

"You're in the Underworld, my dear. My palace, to be exact." I spun to my right where my eyes landed on a tall, handsome man who was leaning on the doorway and looking at me intently. His hair was back with slight curls and framed his face perfectly. His clothes were black also, but they only brought out his dark eyes, which glittered with an intensity and intelligence I had never seen on anyone before. It was only when my mind stopped checking him out that my mind registered what he had said.

"T-The Underworld? Your palace? You're insane! They don't exist!" I said, walking around the bed so that it was between me and the mysterious man. He looked at me and a smirk seemed to play on his features before he clicked his fingers and the curtains parted. I heard screams of pain and hesitantly moved to look out the window. When I did, all I could see were flames rising from the ground, and a bleak, desolate landscape that seemed to rid the surroundings of any positive thoughts and feelings.

"Do you believe me now?" The voice came from right behind me and I jumped, spinning around only to come face to face with my captor. I didn't trust myself to speak so I just nodded. He smiled softly at me as if sensing my discomfort and took both my hands in his, kissing each one. "As you've probably guessed I am Hades, Lord of the Underworld. It is my pleasure." He stated, my hands stil in his. His voice soothed me and I felt myself relax. It made me think of melted chocolate for some reason, or of the ballads my friends used to love.

"S-So all the gods are real?' I stuttered and Hades nodded.

"Do not be afraid my dear. I shall not harm you."

"How do I know?" I asked and he sighed.

"I promise on the River Styx that I shall not harm you." I looked into his dark eyes and knew that he could not go back on his promise.

"Why did you bring me here?" I asked and Hades placed a soft kiss on my forehead.

"I want a Queen, a bride. Someone to spend forever with." He answered simply.

"You have Persephone."

"She doesn't love me. Never has, never will. She never supports my ideas or anything, and I want someone who will love me and be loyal to me forever." He explained.

"You barely know me." I respond flatly.

"I have been watching you for some time now, and you are perfect. You are strong and kind, yet you are hurt like me. I know you are scared to fall in love because of the betrayals in the past, however all I ask is a chance." He said, cupping my face in his hands, his eyes pleading me to give him a chance. I quickly made my kind up and leant into his touch.

"I'll give you a chance." I whispered, wrapping my arms around him and giving the God a hug. I felt him hug me back and I knew this was either going to be the best decision I've ever made... Or the worst...

*1 month later*

I smiled as a pair of arms wrapped around my waist. I had been living with a Hades for a month (I think!) and had been falling in love with the lonely god. He had been treating me like a princess, and wasn't as bad as what I had wrongly judged him on from the myths, and knew that unlike the other gods he would never cheat on me. Persephone was grateful that I had made Hades happy and that she was now free to live in Olympus all the time, but though I had agreed to stay with Hades I hadn't yet told him about my feelings. I smiled as I felt him nuzzled into my neck, kissing it.

"I love you." He murmured and I smiled, knowing I had enough courage now to tell him.

"Hades, I-"

"I know. I know you don't love me yet. But that won't make me stop loving you." He said, cutting me off. I sighed and turned around in his arms, my hands playing with his hair.

"Hades, I- I do love you!" I said, happy it was out in the open. I leant up before he could respond and placed a lingering kiss on his lips, tangling my hands in his dark, curly locks. I felt his whole body freeze before he relaxed and held me around the waist, kissing back. Hades then picked me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist (not breaking the kiss), a spark my stomach as if we were made for each other. We fit together perfectly, and I knew I had found my soul mate.

"I love you." I whispered pulling away from him so I could get oxygen back into my lungs.

"I love you to... Do you know how long I have waited for you to say those three words?" He said and I smiled, kissing him softly once more.

"I want to spend forever like this." I stated, leaning my head on his shoulder as he lay down in bed next to me. I relaxed further into his cool embrace and sighed contentedly.

"Well my dear, our eternity starts here."
So I decided to do a little Hadesx Reader as I don't think there are many stories about the gods and there need to be more out there. Please leave a comment on how you think I did, and I will do some more gods x Reader in the future.
